Junk Vehicle Removal -This Program was terminated in 2013

The junk vehicle removal program was suspended on the 2012 Community Revenue Sharing Grant. But the Council requested $300,000 and was awarded $100,000 funding through the 2013 State Legislative Priorities process for attacking the problem of junk vehicles on a larger effort.Our Juneau representatives support the program!!

In 2009 there were 220 vehicles removed, 2010 110 vehicles, and 2011 over 80! Through wise managment of the FY13 State grant many more vehicles should be disposed of as beautification efforts for our community. Contact the council if you have vehicles to nominate for collection and disposal.

Because junk re-cyclers are paying for vehicles to be hauled to them, this program was terminated in 2013.
